Joy comes in The Morning!

Joy Comes in the Morning

By Bill Cearbaugh

In the recent past I was doing a word study in the Bible on favor.  The Lord and some
of my sons were helping me better understand how important this area of the
Christian life is.  I happened to be meditating on this verse for my morning
devotions.  As I prayed about it, I decided I wanted to somehow illustrate this
verse in a picture and out came this result.  I used a medium brush in broad
strokes in a cross fashion.  The sun was later added to the picture.  To illustrate
the “shout of joy” I added a graphical zoom effect with the focus on the sun, but

faded it ever so slightly.

Over the years I've struggled and fought for what I've wanted, but the Lord so
often wants to bless us and give to us the very desires of our hearts.  All we
have to do is either ask, or stop struggling.  When we do, this is when I see Him
step in and say, "Here Bill, this could have been yours a long time ago, if you
would have just waited for Me in My perfect timing."  He is a loving Papa that
wants to stretch out His hand and offer His help to me.  I have to reach out and
let Him guide and provide.  Maybe you've felt like Solomon who was very
frustrated with life; listen to what he said, "So I hated life, because what is done
under the sun was grievous to me; for all is vanity and striving after the wind
and feeding on it."  Favor is all about letting go, and letting God be your amazing
Papa who wants to be there for you...let Him.

"Cease striving and know that I am God..."

Blessings!
Bill
