Hiding in Him

Digital ArtYears ago I was taught that an umbrella could be a great illustration of God's authority over our lives. With this image in my heart, I began designing this picture, as I was in the middle of the process, again the Lord brought this passage to mind. A great verse to pray for ourselves and families, that the Lord would hide us under His umbrella of protection. This is reverse effect with rain added and lighting effects.
A verse that I enjoy that epitomizes this verse is ..."He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler." This is such a vivid word picture of the Lord's protection over us. We need to just trust Him and hide ourselves under His wings, and He will take care of the rest.

Thanks Bill for your reminder of God's protection. I had not thought of an umbrella quite like this before. Now that I've seen your post, I won't ever see it in the same way.
